2:48 - Oh man, it's just not Milwaukee's day. Great cross/shot from Morgan that's pushed by a diving UW keeper but it stays in play...Lewers' attempt was a swing and a miss though and cleared away. Just unlucky.
2:44 - A rip from Maria goes just wide. Badgers have a sub and it's just over 6 minutes from the final whistle.
2:42 - And Milwaukee gets in on the action as Amy takes a girl down and gets a yellow card.
2:41 - Krissy taken down again and now a card on UW's #18.
2:40 - Tatum comes on for Al with UWM about to take a corner. 10:30 to play...
2:39 - Krissy is fouled basically on the end line and a different player is carded for UW. Nothing doing on the free kick.
2:34 - Al had #3 on her back and look like she thought Paige was going to come pick it up, but I don't think the ball was in the box. Paige came out and tried to boot it but it went right to Walls who calmly put it in the empty net from the edge of the box.
2:33 - Walls makes it 3-0 on a miscue by Milwaukee's back line. Maria back on for UWM with 15:51 to go...
2:31 - Lewers back on for Mel. 17:35 to play...
2:26 - Again! Krissy gets behind the D on some great movement and a nice final ball from Kelsey but again it goes wide. Starting to get some movement up high but now need to finish. It's a slippery surface, and maybe that's the reason for the two mishits, but have to find a way into this game.
2:24 - Milwaukee should have scored! Fantastic ball by Kelsey to a streaking Morgan...keeper came out, Morgan got the shot off and the Panther bench was up and ready to celebrate but it went wide. Kelly Manski now on for Caity. 23 minutes to go.
2:23 - Good movement by the Badgers and #3's shot/cross just misses...whichever intended target. 25 minutes to go...
2:21 - Oooooo, a good chance there for Milwaukee. Amy's free kick was punched straight in the air by the UW keeper and Krissy got a header to it but there wasn't enough behind it. Net was open...
2:20 - Another corner by UW and Paige swats it with one hand to herself. Don't see that very often. Mel comes on for Lewers and Kelsey earns a foul about 30 out right by our bench.
2:15 - Amy's free kick goes over everyone and Morgan's back on, replacing V.
2:13 - Badgers went for a bomb with Tosa native Cara Walls (who is a big, physical and very talented forward) but Paige came way out of her box to blast the challenge away.
2:09 - Nice movement up high for UWM...Stern finds Emma who played a great ball to V but it was just out of her reach.
2:06 - ...And from the looks of it, not even the Redskins are competing with the Packers.
2:05 - Bucky earns an early corner but the header is wide. Attendance announced at 296 today. Thought it might be higher for the in-state rivalry but I guess nothing competes with the Packers.
2:04 - Milwaukee spent the entire time chatting in their tent. We're underway in the second as UW starts with the ball. Only change for UWM is Emma stays on for Morgan.

1:55 - The UW SID staff is a gracious host and ran stats to our coaches so here are my halftime thoughts...Milwaukee has got to figure out how to start better. Didn't look as bad as last Sunday against Vandy, but it wasn't exactly a blazing start at Miami. They don't need to start fast, but can't keep starting slow...#3 for UW is a threat every time she touches the ball. The midfield really needs to mark her tight, especially on give-and-goes...the sky is not falling for UWM, but they haven't been terribly dangerous this game. Something's gotta change if they want to find the back of the net today.

1:48 - And we reach the break. It's 2-0 Wisconsin off two nice finishes early on.
1:45 - Milwaukee's been pushing but I'd be surprised if they are able to get one before the half. Just can't find that final ball.
1:44 - Great run by the Badgers but #3's shot it pushed wide by Paige. Corner taken short and kicked out by UW.
1:40 - Lewers got the wind knocked out of her on a good run and the ref stops play. UW makes another sub. Lewers catches her breath and we're back. Just over 6 minutes remaining.
1:40 - Panthers with some possession now but haven't found the finishing touch. Kelsey with another blasting free kick but it went into the wall this time.
1:37 - Mel now on for Krissy. Badgers also make a sub. Looks like it's misting again...so much for my career as a weatherman.
1:33 - Nice shot by UW's Lavelle (#3) called offside. She's a very dynamic player. Tall, very fast and likes to shoot from distance. So far I'd say she's the engine that makes Bucky go.
1:32 - Foul about 25 out earned by Lewers and Kelsey blasts in on frame but it's right at the keeper.
1:30 - A bit of a lull in the action again. Badgers made a sub and now Emma comes on for Morgan. 17 minutes before the break.
1:25 - Maria gets behind the D but her shot gets blocked last second by the D. Ensuing corner produces more possession for UWM but nothing in the end.
1:23 - Milwaukee starting to settle in a little and possess. Good movement up top and we Krissy fires a GREAT shot but it goes wide. 23 minutes left.
1:21 - Shot for UW goes high and Maria on for V.
1:19 - Shot from distance that Paige had to creep down for...took a bit of a bounce but she brought it in before the oncoming forward could get her foot to it.
1:16 - 2-0, Badgers. UW earned a corner and floated it in...nice header and it looked like it was mostly bodied into the net rather than kicked or shot but whatever it was, it went in. Amy was on the back post but couldn't keep it out.
1:15 - I wish I had more to say, but the ball's just kind of bouncing around for UW in their attack. Milwaukee struggling a bit so far. 30 minutes left in the half.
1:10 - Badgers with a nice cross and a header but it goes soaring over. Lots of pressure in the final third for Bucky so far...
1:07 - 1-0, Wisconsin. UW dribbled right through the midfield and made a perfect pass behind the D to Kodee Williams. She took one touch...Paige came out and slid at her but it was an easy finish.
1:03 - UW registers the first shot. Taken from just outside the box and it took one skip in front of Paige but no trouble. Ball will likely be wet all game so low shots will be interesting for the keepers.
1:02 - And we're underway! Milwaukee starts with the ball...
12:58 - And we're just about ready for the start. Field has to be absolutely soaked but the rain has stopped and the radar says we'll stay dry from here on out.
12:50 - And the rain seems to have passed. Phew! We're three minutes from lineups and the anthem.
12:32 - We're still half an hour from kick off but we've already got starters so I'll pass them along right away...

For Madison, it's Richard in net, Vogel, Schwarz and Heller on D, and then a bunch of people listed as MF/F so the rest are Lavelle, Meuer, Peterson, McNicoll, Walls, Kelter and Williams.
