MILWAUKEE |  0:3  | No. 19 MICHIGAN
U-M - Waldeck (61st)
U-M - Ezurike (71st)
U-M - Ordonez (73rd)
Final

8:23 p.m. - And that will do it from Ann Arbor. No. 19 Michigan nets three nice goals, all in the second half to pull away, 3-0. Check the site for a full report coming up. Thanks for tuning in!

8:18 p.m. - Hoerchner on for Stern and Paige makes a nice save coming way off her line, sliding and knocking the ball away from the streaking Michigan attacker.

8:14 p.m. - Swittel back in for Lewers as UWM makes another sub.

8:13 p.m. - Two more subs for Milwaukee - Van Keulen in for Bestwina and Manski for Kaul...and now Coderre for Dorre. 8 minutes to play.

8:10 p.m. - Nothing major to report on since U-M's last goal. Milwaukee had a free kick deep as Kelly earned a foul just outside the box by Amy's chip missed its target and was cleared away.

8:06 p.m. - Morgan back on for Callie.

8:04 p.m.  - U-M gets another. 3-0 on a nice shot from the right side of the box that found the side netting. Worthington came in for Kelsey between goals.

8:01 p.m. -  2-0 Michigan. Ezurike gets her first of the season off of a long ball over the Milwaukee defense. Ezurike got behind the last defender and chipped it over a coming-out Lincicum.

8:00 p.m.  -  A few more chances for each team. Stephans appeared to have a breakaway down the left side, but Michigan's defense has good recovery speed.

7:53 p.m. -  Callie back on for Morgan and Michigan makes a sub too. Panthers already pushing back and draw a deep through...

7:51 p.m. - Michigan's on the board. Nice ball into the box on a free kick from just outside the box...someone appeared to lose the goalscorer as she was pretty wide open and her header was perfectly placed upper 90 of the far side. 1-0, 61st minute

7:48 p.m.  - A few good chances for the Wolverines but the first is waved off on a foul, negating an impressive save by Paige, and the second flagged for offside.

7:44 p.m. - Holbert's free kick from a dangerous spot goes just over a streaking Kaul down the back post and out. Stephans back in for Behnke.

7:43 p.m. - First test for Hannah (guessing it was a knee tweak?) in the second half goes without a flinch, making an impressive tackle of Ezurike...who just had a rip from about 25 yards out that went maybe a foot wide.

7:37 p.m. - Attendance just announced here tonight at 835. Nice crowd here for the season opener.

7:35 p.m. - Other observations that might not show up from a stat sheet...Paige likes to play further out than I normally see keepers. With her tall frame, she appears very confident in space...Maria Stephans looked very comfortable, as well...and we're back to starters here for UWM as the second half is underway.

7:27 p.m. - Holbert with Milwaukee's lone shot but quite a few more chances for Milwaukee in the final 15-20 minutes of the half. Once Hannah came back on, Panthers seemed to get more comfortable and settle in a little bit. Wouldn't say there were visible nerves though, which is impressive with a freshman starting in net and on the back line.

7:26 p.m. - A few halftime stats...

                UWM    U-M
Shots            1     -    7
Saves           2     -     0
Corners        4     -    3
Fouls           2      -    8

7:18 p.m. - Halftime from U-M Soccer Stadium. No score. Lots of chances for Milwaukee in the final 15. Plenty of things to build off of. It's a bit of a hike to get stats down to the bench, but I'll update in a bit.

7:13 p.m. - Mel on for Kelly. Three straight corners for UWM...final one reigned in by U-M's keeper. Swittel about to come on for Kelsey

7:10 p.m. - ...And a FANTASTIC save by Paige! Shot from the corner of the box going far post. Best shot for Michigan so far.

7:09 p.m. - The birthday girl, Callie O'Donnell makes a first-half appearance, coming on for Morgan on the right wing. 8 minutes to go before the break...

7:04 p.m. - Kauffung takes it all the way down the right side and crosses it where a diving keeper pushed it to the middle. Holbert got off a shot but in traffic before Amy was called offside.

7:02 p.m. - Milwaukee earns its first corner and makes it first sub...Stephans in for Behnke. Michigan countered off the corner but the shot went wide. 15 minutes left in the half.

6:57 p.m. - Wolverines make another early swap, this time in the midfield. Michigan has created more chances and held the majority of possession, but the Panthers seem to be up the task and have created some chances of their own thus far.

6:54 p.m. - Michigan makes the first sub of the game, swapping a short forward in for a tall one. Hannah also back on for Milwaukee.

6:52 p.m. - Kaul gets clipped and has to come off. Looked like she wanted to stay on but clock stopped so had to come off for a second. Still no score.

6:45 p.m. - And as I was typing, Ezurike beats the offside trap and launches one was Paige was coming out but it went wide left for no real threat.

6:44 p.m. - About 12 minutes in and Michigan's big gun (Nkem Ezurike) already with a shot and called offside twice. Very big, physical girl who scored 15 times last year.

6:39 p.m. - Nice run of play for UWM. Amy's ball into the box was just long and U-M's keeper corralled the threat. Both keepers tonight are freshmen making their first collegiate starts.

6:35 p.m. - First bit of action from the game...Michigan sends a ball in from the wing that didn't appear to be a shot but it glanced off the cross bar where Paige cleared the danger. Looking in the sun won't be easy in the first half. Only seems to be an issue for goalies or far-side defenders.

6:31 p.m. - And we're underway from Ann Arbor...

6:27 p.m. - Line ups are being announced as I type. Moments from kick off.

6:18 p.m. - My view for tonight's match...

5:50 p.m. - Starters are in. UWM will go with Lincicum in net with Bestwina, Kauffung, Smith and Kaul in front her on defense. Holbert, LaPlant, Behnke and Stern are in the mid with Lewers and Dorre up top.

Michigan will go with Bucklin, Brannon, Zadorsky, Toohey, McCombs, Mannino, Murillo, Raguse, Hein, Ezurike and Harris.

5:43 p.m. - And we're live from Michigan! It's about as perfect a night for soccer as it gets...sunny, mid 70's and not a cloud in the sky. Milwaukee will be wearing their road all-white kit.

Quick editor's note - I'll operate on central time since I'm guessing most of our viewers are from there...and because that's the time my computer says. You can also follow me on twitter at "@timprahl" and post any questions on there if you have any.

Follow along as Assistant SID Tim Prahl live blogs the Milwaukee Women's Soccer's first match of the season at No. 19 Michigan. Kick-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. central and the blog will go live by that time. Thanks!
