4:54pm Long Forbes punt springs Krissy, who tracks it into the box, but another nice save for a corner... Stern on it... cleared out for another corner... Stern springs to action... short to Holbert and Panthers keep it deep to earn another corner... under a minute... short to stall, cleared...

4:48pm Panthers great a break, nice one-touch passing to Abbey and out wide, but Abbey went down and is hurt. Despite that, almost a great ball in 2v1 to Stern. She will come out of the game and be replaced by Kelsey K. Clock stopped with 2:42 to go.

4:45pm UWM foul, deep in their own third... far post, off Detroit's head, Forbes, Detroit head, but given a corner... far post, two Detroit heads and saved over the bar by Forbes... corner... cleared.
4:41pm Detroit shot in the box deflected out for a corner... into the box and header over the goal... Abbey and Krissy back on for Sammy and Kelsey K.
4:37pm Great diagonal ball into space by Vienna to Holbert, 1v1 on the keeper and just a great save. Nice play.
4:34pm Vienna's pressure gets her a corner... Stern is on it... into the box and Detroit clears.
4:32pm Detroit foul... Amy on it from 35 yards in front of her own bench... into the box and Vienna with a forceful header, just wide past the near post. Great try.
4:30pm Detroit with a shot wide and Stern comes on to replace Lewers.

4:26pm Two shots and two Forbes saves... the first one was a nice stop from close and the second was an easy catch.

4:18pm GREAT play by the Panthers ends with a nice Vienna shot and a good save at the near post.

4:14pm We have a stoppage as Caity is down on the farside... Detroit foul, but I don't think it was a harsh one... she'll likely come off and be replaced by Steph. She is walking off under her own power with minimum impediment.
Panthers are attacking with a great tenacity this half.

4:08pm Detroit with a close shot, wide, but Forbes clears out at the post.
4:07pm Milwaukee has been on attack almost exclusively this half... Demi with a blast from the top of the box -- save.
4:06pm Krissy with another great ball out of the midfield, Lewers played through to Holbert, who finishes past keeper from middle of the box.

4:03pm Krissy goes endline and her cross is one-timed by Lewers -- block... rebound is shot wide by Helen.
4:02pm Panthers start the half with an extended attack... ends with Demi cross and glancing header by Lewers wide.
4:00pm Second half is set to start... starters are back on the field for Milwaukee.
3:56pm Milwaukee seemed to have the bulk of possession early, but after the goal Detroit was able to keep the Panthers contained in the midfield. I would say more than anything, play has been in the midfield. Forbes does have four saves, but just one was particularly dangerous and it was a floater. Iowa State lucked out and had that shot go in a couple of weeks ago. This time Forbes played the wind better.

3:23pm Long outlet clear by Detroit and a Titan gets to the ball first and after a long run launches a shot high.
3:19pm Nice one-touch passing leads to Krissy through ball... Lewers with a long, dynamic run, slots it far post inside the box. 18th minute.

3:17pm Deep Detroit throw... into the box and cleared out for a corner kick... it's Detroit's 3rd... 10 header wide.
3:14pm Detroit gets shot blocked, but the rebound is sent on goal with Forbes saving it ... that rebound is cleared by Emily Scott.
3:13pm Detroit lofts shot from distance and Forbes swaps it away... Detroit corner... cleared away for a throw.

3:10pm Detroit foul (we had 2 unmentioned fouls)... Emily on it at the 40 yard line (50 yds out)... headed away at the top of the box... Panthers keep possession for a while, but can't get forward.
3:04pm Good ball movement by Milwaukee early.
3:03pm Milwaukee corner... Amy's on it and her corner lands on top of the goal... goal kick.
3:02pm Detroit corner... headed out by Amy at near post... Forbes collects and distributes... bad foul uncalled.
2:59pm Getting ready to kick off... Panthers in their all-black uniforms and keepers in orange. Detroit is red and white stripes, their keepers in yellow.Detroit will start with the ball.
2:48pm (CST) I have the starters for Milwaukee... same as last weekend: Forbes in goal. The back line is Amy, Hannah, Emily Scott and Caity. Holbert, Helen, Demi and Vienna are in the midfield. Up top are Lewers and Krissy. Amy is playing her second-straight game at outside back. She started most of last season there, as well.
